Waste and Resource Management

Waste and Resource Management

Often, materials classed as ‘waste’ are actually untapped resources that, if used effectively, have the potential to help your business grow. They may simply need to be transported to a new location or converted into a different form.

Mayer’s resource and waste management team provides practical advice to companies involved in the recycling and recovery of such materials.

Whether it is issues with environmental permits, analysis, research, monitoring or training, we have the skills and experience to help you. This leaves you free to focus on running your business.

We have developed a strong relationship with Mayer over the years. Their understanding of our industry, diligence and commitment to achieving tangible results has meant that we can concentrate on other aspects of our business.”

Waste management operations usually require full planning permission from the local authority. Alternatively, if it can be demonstrated that a site has been operating for more than 10 years, a certificate of lawful use and development can be applied for.

Obtaining the relevant planning authorisation can be the most challenging obstacle in starting a new waste management operation.

Mayer has an outstanding track record of successfully securing planning permission on behalf of clients.  We liaise with planning officers on your behalf, emphasising the community and commercial benefits of your proposals.
