This course has been designed to support anyone in charge of premises (known as a duty-holder). Duty-holders have an obligation to be aware of the dangers of legionella and ensure that a risk assessment is conducted to keep their staff and the public safe.  Details on how to complete a risk assessment and what should be recorded within the risk assessment is included within the workshop to ensure that the Duty-holder has an awareness of how to identify legionella hazards and react appropriately.

The workshop will cover the following topics:

  • Background of Legionnaires disease and other legionelloses
  • Health effects/symptoms
  • Legal responsibilities
  • Hazardous environments
  • Legionella Risk Assessment
  • Controlling the risk

This course is accredited by Awarding Body, City and Guilds

This course is suitable for managers or others assigned personnel who are responsible for completing risk assessments.
