If you have ever managed the opening or expansion of a waste or recycling site, you will know how difficult it can be to secure the relevant planning permission, licences and consents. Mayer Environmental can help.
Our dedicated consultants can negotiate with the environmental regulator on your behalf. We will undertake a baseline survey to define your liabilities and prepare the necessary documentation, including working plans and detailed risk assessments.
Mayer Environmental has the proven expertise to advise on environmental protection systems and related issues like drainage design, liaising directly with your civil engineers. We’ll work to make meeting your environmental obligations easier and you can trust us to produce jargon-free documents and keep you informed every step of the way.
Waste Management Licensing and Exemptions
Any site which is to receive, dispose or treat waste must hold a valid Waste Management Licence or exemption. Planning permission is also required. Sites, operating without a consented discharge for site surface runoff waters, may be operating illegally.
Exemptions require a much higher standard of environmental provision at the outset, including impermeable paving and consented water discharges.
