Visits by the Environmental Regulator
These generally take place once per month on sites with Waste Management Licenses and once a year on exempt sites. 

The regulator is the Environment Agency in England and Wales, and the Scottish Environmental Protection Agency in Scotland. Both have the power to issue enforcement notices and to close a site if necessary.
